ISO-NE Grid Monitor is a real-time dashboard for the New England power system — the six-state electric grid run by ISO New England. It pulls live public grid data (relayed through a Cloudflare Worker proxy) and surfaces the metrics operators watch: total system load in megawatts, behind-the-meter solar offset, fuel mix by generation source, and Locational Marginal Prices (LMP) by zone and hub. Figures refresh automatically every five minutes, and the Refresh button forces an immediate update.
The map is built with MapLibre GL on OpenFreeMap tiles and overlays the region’s transmission network, while Chart.js renders load and price trends. It is a working example of taking an open wholesale-electricity feed and turning it into a clean, at-a-glance picture of how New England’s grid is performing right now.
